Mom, Nanay, Mommy, Mama, Inay are we usually call our Mother. Being a Mom for 9 years are very challenging and rewarding. As I aged, I realized that this is a tough job and never ending responsibility. I remember when my Mom scolded me when I am doing things she didn't approved of. We always have arguments. I did not understand her thoughts until the day when my children is growing up, my mother-journey has began...... And My Mom is RIGHT!
I am not a perfect mother but at least I am trying... I am a working Mom, which sometimes gives me guilt feeling because I have to divide my time as a worker and as a Mom most of the time. Having two different responsibility will make your day upside down. I came to a point wherein I have to choose between my career and them. But God gave me strength and help me decide, I chose both..
Each Mother is different. None of us has the right to judge any mother because we have different styles, values and approaches on how we will mold our kids to be a better person.
I have to say that we live in a World of Stereotype wherein only a non-working Mom is the best and devoted Mother. But Hello?? Seriously??..... I salute all working Mom because even if how stressful their career they can still find time to be with their children. Let us all remember that all Mother in the Universe wants only the best for their Children. That is why Mom's Knows Best.
My Mom taught me to be independent and a strong woman in all aspects in life. It was a roller coaster experienced but its now worth it. If I can turn back the days when shes still with me, I will always thank her every single time and day. I promise that I will also share the same wisdom she taught me to my children and grandchildren.
Today we are celebrating Mother's Day - May 10, 2015.
